What's up, guys! Another week here in Brazil, and it was a grind. It's starting to heat up out here and it can get brutally hot lol. There is really no escape from the heat, so you just embrace it.
We continued working with Elianne and things are going well with her! She wants to be baptized, but we are still figuring out the details to where her family can be present! We also visited and happened to come across a lot of inactive members and were able to find their reason in no longer going to church. We taught a lot about effort in following the example of Christ and the blessings we are promised in attending church. We were able to bring people back and to see them happy, which is awesome.
Living in Brazil is so cool and different lol. There are certain things you see that just make you laugh because of how random it is. You can't really describe it unless you're in it, but there are definitely times when I feel like I'm being pranked on a game show. The election ended this week so things in the streets have been extra wild, but it's all a part of the experience and it's a ton of fun.
This week, I gave a talk and found out about it when we showed up to church. I had almost no time to prepare, but I was able to go up there and fill the time no problem. It just shows how far I've come with the language and how important it is to trust the process. Things don't happen overnight, so it takes continuous effort and focusing on doing the little things in order to grow.
We also got news this week that an apostle, Ronald A Rasband, will be coming to our mission for a mission-wide devotional. Things like this are once in a lifetime experience, so everyone here is super pumped!
Just another week of working hard and loving the work. Hope everything is well with you guys back home! Email me!
