Week 62 - August 25, 2023

What's up, everyone?   Another awesome week out here!  The second week of the transfer just finished, and I've been loving it.  The set-up of the house is hilarious.  My comp is from Bahia, another Brazilian from ParanĂ¡, and a Greenie (new missionary) who just got into the mission and doesn't have an idea what's going on.  Everyone gets along with each other and there aren't too many dull moments in the house lol.

Living with the American that's been here for two weeks has reminded me so much of when I started my mission.  Not really knowing what's going on and just trying to make things make sense.  I remember going through the exact same thing and how much it taught me.  It was without a doubt very tough, but I wouldn't have wanted it any different.  Looking back, I'm very grateful for what I went through and for who I am today because of it.  That was more than a year ago and seems like it was yesterday.
This week we had the baptisms of Layza, Manuela, and Fransisco who all decided to follow the example of older siblings and parents by being baptized.  Francisco, after he got out of the water, decided one time wasn't enough and jumped back in the font for a little swim saying he was ready for round two.

Also, our man Pedro that was baptized last week went out and got a suit and has already gone to the temple.  He's such a stud and has so much potential!

To end the week, after having interviews with the President, he took us out to dinner.  It was cool to sit down and talk with him about something other than missionary work.  He is an awesome person and had us cracking up all night!
I'm loving it out here.  I say that all the time, but it really is the happiest I've ever been in my life.  I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world!
Email me if it's been a while.
