Another few weeks out here! I've been transferred yet again and I'm now in a new area with a new comp who turns out to be a comp I have already been with! A lot of awesome stuff happened these last few weeks, so I'll try my best to catch you all up.
This last Sunday in my old ward of Cinquentenário, we had the baptism of Kleber. He is an absolute stud and being a part of the process was super special. We had been teaching him for multiple weeks before his mom signed off for the baptism. He was on top of the world seeing the members that were there to support him, and he couldn't have been happier to finally make this happen. From the start, he has been laser focused and super Interested and so to see someone that you think of as family make huge changes in his life for the better, it makes it all the going worth it.
We also had a mission tour this last week with Elder Valenzuela who is the first counselor in the area presidency Brasil. It's always a privilege to hear from a General Authority and receive counsel from someone with so much experience in the church. It's definitely motivating to see someone who has dedicated his life to the gospel and the blessing that comes from it.
But now about the transfer news. I am back in one of the same zones I served in last year about this time. My comp is Elder Meirelles who was my comp about eight months ago and one of my closest friends out here. We are super pumped to be together again and excited to get to work. He is in his last transfer, so we are making sure to leave nothing on the table and finish strong. The new area is Portão, which is a small town about 30min from the big city. It's kinda secluded from everything but it's super peaceful and I'm liking it a lot. There are zero hills and so walking from place to place isn't near the fight it was in my last area. This area was closed for months and so now that we are here, the members are pumped and excited to work alongside us!
Other than that, it's just the regular mission life. I'm still learning a lot each and every day out here and I'm trying my best to get everything I can out of the moment!
