What's up, everyone! Last week, we were traveling all p-day and left no time to send an email. Today marks the end of the transfer and the start of another one. The last two weeks flew by and a lot of stuff happened.
We had the wedding and baptism of Luana and Everton and the next day the baptism of Luana. They went through a long process of having to divorce to be re-married that delayed almost two years. We showed up right towards the end of the process and were able to help them with the last few things so that Luana could finally be baptized. The ward all came together and helped a ton in the wedding and baptism.
We also had the baptisms of Pedro and Diego who followed the example of their families this past week.
I'm very grateful for this past transfer and the things I learned. It was definitely the hardest transfer. I was pushed and the most work I've put in. My comp is finishing his mission and heading home this week and the six weeks we had together taught me a lot and helped me grow in a lot of ways. Time out here is moving quickly and I'm trying as hard as I possibly can to make it count. Every experience I have out here is a learning opportunity and that's the best part of a mission.
This next transfer I am being moved to a different ward in the same zone just the area right over. Not much of a big change other than moving houses. My new comp is Elder Carmo from Bahia and has a little more time than me. I'm pumped to get this transfer started and I'm loving it out here.
Other than seeing a dude shoot heroin up his wrists after lunch in broad daylight, not much was different this week. It's all part of the fun.
Elder Copeland❤️
