What's up, everyone! Last week I didn't send anything out because it was just like any other week, but now I'll catch you all up. The new area has been good, and we have been working insanely hard. My comp is in his final transfer but has no desire to let off the gas and call it quits. The days are long, but the weeks have been moving by quick!
Last Sunday we had the baptism of Raul! He's 16, but the way we met him was pretty cool. We had sent messages to a few contacts in our phone, and he happened to be one of the people. He always felt like something was missing from his life and that religion needed to be a part of it. The members welcomed him like family and on Sunday he was able to be baptized and find hope in what he was looking for.
We've been running around, finding and teaching a bunch of people. The work here is starting to pick up after a slow first two weeks. We had to drop a few people we were talking to because they weren't about it. We were teaching this one lady, but after finding out we were getting ourselves tangled up in a cocaine business, we decided it was best to let it go lol.
Lately, I've truly seen the Lord’s hand in the work. This work is guided by Him, and he is the one that puts people in our path to meet. Often times we got caught up in the rush of life and in the motions of everyday work but when we can sit and listen to the Spirit, we can know exactly what the Lord wants of us. I'm very grateful to be out here and for all the experiences I'm having.Love and miss you all like crazy!Elder Copeland!
