Weeks 91, 92, and 93 - March 30, 2024

What's up, everyone!  It's been a few weeks since my last email, but things are going well, and time is flying by quickly.  Three weeks left until I'm done and despite being so close, it still doesn't feel real.  It's hard to explain exactly what it feels like other than a whirlwind of emotions.

This past week we had the baptism of a little girl we have been teaching for a few weeks now.  The mom is a long-time member who for a long time was inactive from the church but has recently decided to make her way back.  The baptism of the daughter wasn't only an important step in her life but a new beginning for the entire family.  The mom was very emotional which made it very special!

We also had the wedding of a couple this past week.  The wife has been a long-time member but this week the husband is going to be baptized!  We have been working with them for months now and to see it all come together has been amazing!
My new companion, Elder Lee, now has a few weeks under his belt in the mission and is working hard to learn the language.  It's definitely tough having to do almost everything by yourself, but he's doing a good job of helping me finish strong and enjoy my final weeks here.

I've come to the realization that finishing a mission and realizing that it is almost over is a whole lot harder than accepting the fact that a mission is two years long.  I love this work and everything about this place and so it is a bittersweet feeling to know it's coming to an end.
Something I've been thinking about a lot lately is that Jesus Christ in the final week of his life produced some of the greatest works and had some of the most memorable events the world has ever seen.  His entire ministry here on earth was full of helping others and performing miracles but yet in the final week he took upon himself the pain and sins of the world and sacrificed his life.  I've been trying my best to remind myself that no matter how much time is left out here, there are still people to help and work to be done!  Elder Copeland
