Week 56 - July 13, 2023

What's up, everyone!  Another week down!  Today I hit 13 months on the mission!  It's hard to believe that I also turned 20 this week and see how long it's been since I started my mission at 18 years old.  Thank you all for the birthday wishes back home!

This week we had the baptism of José and his granddaughter, Ligia!  They both were super excited and welcomed in with open arms from the ward.  We have visited them every single day since coming here and throughout the process they were willing to change in any way.  I'm so happy that they had this moment together and were able to have so much support from their new ward family!
This week it rained very hard almost every single day.  Rain always makes it harder to visit people and get to the places we need to go.  The soles on my shoes have been worn down so much that they take in water from the bottom, so not long after it starts to rain are my shoes and socks completely soaked lol. It's all a part of the fun!
This week was a little tough.  We ran around trying to visit everyone we could, but we didn't have a ton of success. However, this week will be better!
I've been learning to focus a lot on the attention to detail.  Most of the time doing the small and simple things is what will make a difference.  We can't tackle the process all at once but if we trust in the process and take the steps necessary, anything we put our minds to is possible.

Have the best week!
Elder Copeland!
